Yup, you heard it here first: we’re building. When I say “we”, I really mean “I” but kind of in that whole “royal we” vein. The thing is, if I said “we” and really meant Kerry as well, we wouldn’t be doing this because, in case you hadn’t noticed it, she hates building or doing anything constructiony. “We”, however, sounds so much more fun than doing it on your own.
But I digress, so back to the whole building thing. I’ve decided that I’m going to embark on a little project that involves some amount of assembly, some amount of screwing things together, some amount of cutting, sawing, hacking and shaping, and a considerable amount of oh shit moments.
No, I’m not going to build a deck.
I’m not that stupid (or at least that’s what I think). Kerry, of course, thinks differently …
I’m building a bicycle. Oh yeah. Bring on the moments of sheer terror when I start tightening a bolt on my new carbon frame just waiting to hear a cracking sound indicating that I’ve just screwed the pooch on the frame. In case you’re wondering, yes I do have a bicycle-specific torque wrench but lets just say that I’ve never trusted those things all that much.
So, without further ado, here’s my pic of my new Item Of The Day. Vive la Frame!
